Zip Line in Las Vegas: Worth It?

A Las Vegas zipline is exactly what you'd expect: you get harnessed up, step off a platform, and fly through the air for 30–90 seconds while the city or desert scrolls beneath you. The urban ones (downtown and on the Strip) are short, fast, and convenient — you’ll hit speeds around 30–35 mph and be done in under a minute. The canyon ones outside town are longer, reach up to 50 mph, and give you real views of desert mountains, Lake Mead, and open valley. Both are safe and well-run, but they deliver very different experiences: one is a quick adrenaline hit with neon lights, the other feels more like an actual adventure.

Best time is October through April when it’s not brutally hot. Summer afternoon tours can be miserable. Expect to pay around $50–$80 for a single downtown or Strip ride. Canyon tours usually run $150–$250 depending on how many lines and whether transport is included. Tip: Skip the basic seated Fly LINQ ride if you’re reasonably brave — pay the small upcharge for the superman/flying position instead. If you want the real deal, book the longer Bootleg Canyon-style tour rather than the short urban ones. One ride is plenty; doing multiple different ziplines in the same trip is usually overkill.
