Expect a fast-paced outdoor adventure about 30 minutes outside the Strip at Bootleg Canyon. After a short safety briefing you’ll do a series of ziplines reaching up to 50 mph, with strong views over the desert, Lake Mead, and distant mountains. The whole experience takes roughly 2–2.5 hours from arrival to departure. It’s physical but not technical — you’re clipped in and don’t control your speed. The harness is comfortable once you stop thinking about it, but you will feel the G-forces on the longer lines. It’s genuinely fun if you like heights and speed; it’s not life-changing if you’re on the fence.
Best time is October through April when desert temperatures are pleasant. Summer trips run early morning but it still gets brutally hot on the mountain. Expect to pay around $150–$220 per person depending on the package and time of day. Book the morning slot if you can; it’s cooler and the light is better for photos. Skip the add-on photos unless you really want them — the guides take plenty of shots you can usually buy later. Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and bring a light jacket even in summer; the van ride up can be windy.
