A 16th-century Benedictine church on an island in Venice's lagoon, designed by Andrea Palladio and built between 1566 and 1610 in classical Renaissance style. Visitors view the brilliant white marble façade from across the water opposite San Marco, and inside see masterworks by Tintoretto including The Last Supper and The Jews in the Desert flanking the altar. The bell tower offers panoramic views across Venice.
