A Roman Catholic basilica built in the 17th century as a votive offering for Venice's deliverance from plague, featuring a distinctive octagonal Baroque design with two domes that became emblematic of the city's skyline. Visitors can view the interior artworks with references to the Black Death and experience the architectural innovation of Baldassare Longhena's crown-shaped design. The church remains an active parish church and hosts the annual Festa della Madonna della Salute procession on November 21st.
