Boubín Forest is the largest indigenous forest in Central Europe, featuring spruces, firs, beeches and maples that reach 300-400 years old with twisted trunks and gnarled bark. Visitors hike a circular nature trail around the protected forest core starting from Lake Boubín, then ascend Mount Boubín's observation tower for panoramic views across Šumava and the Alps.
