Bouma National Heritage Park covers 168 square miles on Taveuni Island, Fiji's third-largest island, and protects a tropical rainforest with a mountain ridge crowned by the 4,072-foot summit of Uluinggalau. Visitors hike to the three Tavoro Waterfalls, with the tallest reaching 78 feet accessible via a 10-minute walk, or trek the Vidawa Rainforest Trail through ancient village sites and bird-watching habitat. The park encompasses approximately 80% of Taveuni Island and was established to preserve the rainforest landscapes and waterfalls for future generations.
