Coronet Peak is New Zealand's first commercial ski area, established in 1947 and located closest to Queenstown, offering winter alpine skiing and snowboarding from sunrise to after sunset. Visitors can enjoy skiing and snow play on groomed slopes, night skiing on select evenings, and a new Snow Factory guaranteeing snow on learner slopes, or take the gondola for summit views without skiing.
