Dirleton Castle & Coastal Gardens Loop Walk

Edinburgh
Book this experience →

Dirleton Castle is a magnificent 13th-century fortress-residence that served three successive noble families over 400 years and now features picturesque castle ruins set within designed landscapes. Visitors can explore the restored castle, gardens home to the world's longest herbaceous border, and the historic site where weddings are held. The castle was badly damaged during Cromwell's 1650 siege but was revived in the 1660s when the Nisbet family transformed it into a romantic centerpiece of their new estate.
