The Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest of the Egyptian pyramids and the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, built around 2600 BC as the tomb of Pharaoh Khufu. Originally standing at 146.6 meters tall, it was the world's tallest human-made structure for over 3,700 years and contains internal chambers including a King's Chamber with a granite sarcophagus. Visitors can observe a monumental limestone structure built from 2.3 million stone blocks and explore the remains of an ancient funerary complex designed to house and honor the pharaoh in the afterlife.
