
Gyeongbokgung is a former royal palace established in 1395 as the first palace of the Joseon dynasty, where King Sejong the Great created the native Korean script Hangul. Visitors can explore restored palace buildings, view changing of the guard ceremonies held twice daily, and visit the National Folk Museum of Korea and National Palace Museum of Korea located within the palace grounds.
