The Maui Arts & Cultural Center hosts Kū Mai Ka Hula, Maui's only adult hula competition in its 18th year, featuring award-winning hālau from Hawaiʻi, Japan, and the continental U.S. competing in solo, group, and kūpuna categories with both traditional kahiko and modern ʻauana hula styles. Visitors watch renowned dancers judged by esteemed kumu hula, browse made-in-Hawaiʻi artisan products, and enjoy food and beverages throughout the competition weekend (September 11-13, 2025).
