Independence Hall is the house where David Ben-Gurion declared the establishment of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948, originally built by Tel Aviv's first mayor Meir Dizengoff. Visitors see the precisely restored historic hall with period photographs, the portrait of Herzl, original declaration ceremony recordings, and documents related to Israel's founding. Guided tours available in multiple languages take visitors through the history of Zionism and conclude with a replay of the declaration ceremony.
