The Musée Conti Wax Museum was a pioneering family attraction in New Orleans' French Quarter that operated from 1964 to 2016, featuring over 160 wax figures of historical Louisiana figures including Mark Twain, Andrew Jackson, and various governors. Fifty of these handcrafted French-made figures, with human hair individually inserted strand-by-strand, are now permanently displayed at the Great River Road Museum at Houmas House in Darrow, allowing visitors to view these detailed historical representations.
