
This national park encompasses the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano with nine cones total and features two main areas—Las Pilas and Santa María—offering trails to volcanic craters, waterfalls, hot springs, fumaroles, and mud pits at elevations up to 6,200 feet. Visitors can hike multiple trails ranging from 1.5 to 4.5 miles, explore the Blanco River well, and experience geothermal features including the Von Seebach craters and natural hot springs.
