Partington Cove is a short, steep 1-mile round-trip hike in Big Sur that descends through a 60-foot tunnel to a pristine cove with crystal-clear water where visitors can see kelp and the ocean floor. At the trail's end sits a single bench overlooking the immaculate cove, with optional exploration of historic remains of an old tanbark loading area on the surrounding rocks.
