Quandary Peak is Summit County's only 14er, standing at 14,265 feet just south of Breckenridge, offering multiple routes with dramatic views and relatively accessible climbing for a high alpine peak. Visitors hike 6.6 miles on a heavily trafficked out-and-back trail through alpine terrain, with nearby McCullough Gulch offering a 2.9-mile alternative featuring waterfalls, evergreen forests, and wildflower meadows.
