St. Vitus Cathedral is Prague's largest and most important temple, where Czech kings and queens were crowned and where patron saints, sovereigns, and archbishops are interred. Visitors can view Gothic and Neo-Gothic architecture including the ornate St. Wenceslas Chapel with 14th-century precious stone facing and wall paintings, the Golden Gate, and the Royal Mausoleum, entering through a bronze portal decorated with scenes from the cathedral's history.
