Syntagma Square is the central constitution square of Athens, home to the Parliament building and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Visitors come to witness the hourly changing of the guard ceremony performed by traditionally-uniformed Evzonen soldiers, with the most elaborate ceremony occurring every Sunday at 11am. The square also features a metro station with archaeological exhibits from excavations conducted during its construction.
