Tulum is a well-preserved Mayan seaport city built in the thirteenth century, located on a limestone cliff overlooking the Caribbean coast 130 km south of Cancun. Visitors explore stone temples and structures including the prominent Castillo and Temple of the Frescoes with their original murals, while enjoying coastal views and access to a sandy beach below the ruins.
