The Wieliczka Salt Mine is an underground kingdom carved from rock salt over nearly a millennium by skilled miners, featuring elaborate chambers and salt sculptures 125 metres below ground. Visitors can explore either the Tourist Route to see artistic treasures and marvels like the Crystal Grottoes and underground chapel, or the Miners' Route to experience the mine as working miners did with helmets and lamps.
