A private tasting of traditional Greenlandic foods — seal, whale, musk ox — prepared and explained by a local cook aboard a small fishing boat or in the settlement.
What to expect
In a small, informal setting, your host lays out several traditional preparations — dried and smoked seal, whale blubber, musk ox stew — explaining their role in Greenlandic subsistence culture and how climate and geography shape the diet. Conversation is unscripted and genuinely curious on both sides. It's less a meal than a short, frank lesson in survival and tradition.
Good to know
Portions are small and intended for tasting, not a full meal; some items (raw seal, whale) may be unfamiliar and are entirely optional to try. Book early as only one or two sessions run per call depending on host availability.
