Vienne City Tram: Temple of Augustus, the Cathedral & the Mont Pipet Belvedere

Ride the City Tram through the old Allobroges capital - the Pyramide, the Temple of Augustus and Livia, the Cathedrale Saint-Maurice - then up to the Mont Pipet belvedere for the view straight down onto the Roman theatre and the Rhone valley

What to expect

You board an open City Tram beside the town garden and ride out through the old Allobroges capital, with commentary in English, German or French. The circuit takes in the Pyramide of the Roman circus, the Temple of Augustus and Livia standing whole in the middle of the town, and the flamboyant Gothic Cathedrale Saint-Maurice, then climbs the hill you would otherwise have to walk to reach the Mont Pipet belvedere - where the Roman theatre opens up below you and the Rhone valley runs away north and south.
