What to expect
A short funicular and taxi ride takes you from Marina Grande up to Anacapri. The 12-minute chairlift glides silently over Mediterranean scrub to 589 metres. At the top, a network of easy paths lets you walk the ridge with sweeping sea views in every direction before descending into Anacapri's whitewashed alleys.

Go right at opening (9:30am) for cool air and empty chairs; allow about 2.5 hours round-trip including the funicular connection from the port.
