Walk the cliff path from Capri town to Tiberius's clifftop ruins and on to the wind-carved Natural Arch, a route locals prize as the island's real soul.
What to expect
From the Piazzetta, a stepped lane climbs through pines and villa gardens toward Tiberius's ruined imperial retreat, perched 300 metres above the sea. From there a quieter trail continues to the Arco Naturale, a giant limestone arch framing the Tyrrhenian Sea, before looping back via the Grotta di Matermania.
Good to know
Start by 8am to avoid heat and cruise-crowd overlap; wear proper shoes — this is a real walk, not a stroll, roughly 2-3 hours round trip.
