You'll tender in among a working gentoo colony nesting around the historic huts, tour preserved 1940s living quarters and radio room, then mail a postcard that genuinely gets postmarked here. Staff are candid and happy to talk at length if the crowd is small.

Visitor numbers are capped daily by the Heritage Trust to protect the site, so landings are pre-scheduled by expedition staff — buy postcards early as stock is limited and postage takes months to arrive.
