What to expect
You'll launch from a Zodiac staging point into flat, mirror-still water studded with blue-white ice chunks, paddling close to towering cliffs as guides watch for wildlife and shifting ice. Landward, you'll walk among thousands of gentoos and their chicks on the rocky slopes above the beach.
Good to know
Kayak spots are limited and usually must be pre-booked before the voyage departs; conditions can cancel paddling on short notice in favor of a Zodiac cruise instead.
