Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum: Private Curator Walkthrough

A quiet, expert-led hour through Nunavut's finest collection of Inuit carving, printmaking and oral history, with context no placard can give.

What to expect

Small galleries hold soapstone and whalebone carvings, historic clothing, and archival photographs of pre-settlement camp life. Arrange ahead and a curator will walk you through personally, explaining symbolism in prints and the stories behind specific carvers still working in town today. It's intimate, unhurried, and the opposite of a crowded museum hall.
