Situk River Float & Wildlife Drift

A slow, quiet drift down one of Alaska's richest wild rivers, where bald eagles and brown bears working the salmon runs outnumber other people.

What to expect

You'll put in above town in a raft with a local guide, drifting past cottonwood banks where bears fish the shallows and eagles line the trees. The Situk is famous among anglers but the float itself is the real prize: total quiet, punctuated by wings and splashes. Guides carry bear spray and know exactly which bends to hang back from.
