Sea kayaking in a tight group of 4-6 along sheltered coves below the cliffs, silent enough to hear the birds and seals.
What to expect
You're fitted into a dry suit and double kayak, then paddle out from the landing site in a tight flotilla with one guide per 4-6 guests. The water is often glass-calm in the lee of the cliffs, with harbour seals surfacing nearby and arctic terns diving overhead. It's physically easy but emotionally huge — total silence broken only by paddle strokes and birdcalls.
Good to know
Must be pre-booked before the voyage as capacity is very limited (often under 12 guests total per landing). Weather cancellation is common; have a backup plan.
