Walk a stretch of the free coastal footpath that hugs the shoreline from town toward Cap Camarat — pine-scented cliffs, hidden coves, and a lighthouse, with no entry fee at all.
What to expect
The trail picks up near La Ponche and threads along low cliffs and small pebble coves before rising toward Cap Camarat's lighthouse. Fig trees and umbrella pines shade parts of the walk, and swimming spots appear at several points if you want to cool off. It's the walk locals do before the town wakes up.
Good to know
Wear proper trail shoes; sections are uneven rock. Start at sunrise if your ship's schedule allows — it's cooler and the light on the water is best. A taxi back from Cap Camarat is easy if you don't want to retrace the full route.
