Glide across Raiatea's jewel-green lagoon by private catamaran to the 'Vanilla Island' of Taha'a, snorkel above technicolour coral gardens, and lunch on a deserted motu with white sand underfoot. The rarest combination of water, landscape, and Polynesian flavour in the Society Islands.
What to expect
The catamaran slips out of Uturoa harbour into a lagoon sheltered by one of the world's largest barrier reefs. At the coral gardens, you snorkel alongside parrotfish, rays, and reef sharks in water so clear visibility exceeds 30 metres. On Taha'a, you visit a working vanilla plantation — inhaling the intoxicating scent of curing pods — before a fresh Polynesian lunch of poisson cru, grilled fish, and tropical fruit is served on the motu beach. The return sail at golden hour with Bora Bora silhouetted on the horizon is simply unforgettable.
Good to know
Departs from Uturoa marina, a short walk from the cruise dock. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a rashguard, and a light layer for the sail back. Pre-book directly — semi-private slots are limited and sell out on port days. Confirm departure and return times against your ship's all-aboard.
