Descend into Raiatea's legendary passes and lagoon dive sites — drift dives with reef sharks, leopard rays, and clouds of Napoleon wrasse in some of the clearest, most pristine water in the South Pacific. A bucket-list dive for any level, led by PADI-certified local experts.
What to expect
The dive boat departs Uturoa marina and heads for Raiatea's celebrated passes — Tevairoa, Toamaro, and Iriru — where the outgoing current draws nutrient-rich water and concentrates marine life in spectacular density. Drifting effortlessly, you encounter grey reef sharks patrolling the drop-off, eagle rays gliding in formation, and hawksbill turtles resting on coral heads. The lagoon sites offer macro photography paradise: nudibranchs, lionfish, and iridescent damselfish among healthy hard corals. Surface intervals are spent floating in the warm, turquoise lagoon while your guide shares the ecology of the reef.
