Valley of the Kings: Private Egyptologist Day in Luxor's West Bank

Cross the Nile to the necropolis where pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried in secret, painted tombs cut deep into limestone cliffs. With a private Egyptologist, you decode the Books of the Dead adorning walls that have awed explorers for centuries.

What to expect

Depart Qena port by private air-conditioned vehicle for the 60 km drive to Luxor's West Bank. Your Egyptologist selects the finest open tombs on the day, narrating the mythology painted on every inch of wall. The standard ticket covers three tombs; upgrade on-site to Seti I or Tutankhamun's chamber for extraordinary moments. Combine with the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon en route back for a full West Bank sweep.
