Drift silently along the White River on a hand-crafted bamboo raft, poled by a Jamaican captain with stories as deep as the river. End with a private tasting at a rum bar deep in the valley — pure, unhurried Caribbean grace.
What to expect
Your raft captain poles you upstream through a cathedral of overhanging bamboo and tropical hardwoods, the only sounds the dip of the pole and birdsong overhead. The river is jade-green, warm, and clear enough to see the sandy bottom. Mid-float, the captain anchors in a shallow pool for a swim stop and a freshly cracked coconut. At the rum bar, a selection of aged Jamaican rums — paired with local fruit and jerk bites — rounds out an experience that feels like a private corner of Jamaica few visitors ever find.
