Descend into a luminous underground river cave, swim beneath a cascading jungle waterfall, and kayak a sacred Taíno river through dense tropical forest — all within Punta Cana's own lush interior. Raw, dramatic, and utterly unlike any beach day.
What to expect
A guided jungle trek leads to the Iguabonita cenote — an ethereal underground cave pool lit by shafts of light filtering through the limestone canopy. You swim, snorkel, and simply float in water of impossible clarity. Next, a short kayak along the Río Yauya brings you to Taíno Falls, where a natural waterfall thunders into a private swimming hole. The experience concludes with a traditional Dominican lunch served in the forest. Every element is conducted in small groups with certified naturalist guides.
