Charter a private wooden gozzo or sleek motorboat from Sorrento's Marina Piccola, glide to Capri, slip inside the electric-blue sea cave, and anchor beside the iconic Faraglioni sea stacks for a private swim. This is the Amalfi Coast at its most glamorous.
What to expect
Depart Marina Piccola aboard your private vessel as the morning light turns the sea gold. Your skipper navigates the spectacular coastline to Capri, where a rowboat tender ferries you inside the Blue Grotto as bioluminescent blue light floods the cave walls. Back on board, you anchor in a secluded cove beneath the Faraglioni for swimming and snorkelling. A cooler stocked with local wine, limoncello and Campanian snacks is typically included. The skipper brings you home with time to spare before all-aboard.
Good to know
Capri is roughly 50 minutes by boat from Sorrento. Blue Grotto entry depends on sea conditions and tidal height — your skipper will advise on the day. Book at least 3–4 weeks in advance in high season (May–September). Departure from Marina Piccola, a short taxi ride from the port tender landing.
