What to expect
Board a private banca boat from the Lembeh jetty and motor to hand-picked muck sites your guide selects for that day's tidal and visibility conditions. Between dives, relax on deck with cold towels and Indonesian snacks while your guide briefs you on the next site's resident rarities. Surface intervals are spent reviewing your underwater camera shots with the naturalist, who names every species and shares its behaviour. Two tanks are completed in roughly four hours, leaving ample time to return to port before all-aboard.

Pre-book directly with Rumah Selam at least 2 weeks ahead — private slots fill fast on port days. Bitung port is 10–15 minutes from Lembeh by road and short boat crossing. Must hold at least an Open Water certification; bring your dive card. All-aboard timing: confirm your ship's schedule and advise your guide — they build the dive plan around it.
