Emerald Sea Boat Tour — Diego Suarez's Sacred Waters

Glide across the legendary Mer d'Émeraude, a turquoise lagoon ringed by mangroves and sandbanks, rated one of the world's most beautiful bays. Snorkel, swim, and savour the stillness.

What to expect

Board a traditional pirogue-style boat at the pier and head out into the vast Bay of Diego Suarez, passing the iconic Sugar Loaf rock sentinel at the bay's mouth. The sea transitions from deep cobalt to an impossible emerald-green as you enter the protected lagoon, dropping anchor at pristine sandbanks ideal for snorkelling over coral gardens alive with tropical fish. Cold drinks and fresh fruit are served on board as you drift in total serenity before sailing back past the dramatic headlands.
