A paved overlook at the summit delivers an unobstructed 180-degree sweep over the Mississippi floodplain, wooded coulees, and distant blufflines in three states. Interpretive plaques tell the story of the ancient glacial landscape that carved this dramatic terrain. Early morning or late afternoon light bathes the valley in gold — plan accordingly. The short walk from the parking area to the overlook rail is easy and accessible.

Drive time from the riverfront dock is approximately 10 minutes. No pre-booking required for self-guided access, but arrange private transport in advance. Allow 45–60 minutes. Well clear of any typical all-aboard time.
