Plunge into Dhofar's wildest landscapes — a lush canyon waterfall, Oman's highest plateau, and a dramatic collapsed sinkhole — on a private, expert-led 4WD safari. This is the raw, cinematic Oman that few visitors ever witness.
What to expect
Your private guide collects you at the port in a premium 4WD and heads east into the Dhofar mountains. At Wadi Darbat, a verdant gorge carved by seasonal floodwaters, you can boat on the lake and watch the cascade tumble into lush palms below. The ascent to Jabal Samhan — at 2,100m the rooftop of Dhofar — rewards with vertiginous views over the Arabian Sea. The finale is the collapsed Tawi Ateer sinkhole, a 200-metre natural amphitheatre echoing with birdsong, utterly unlike anything else in Arabia.
