What to expect
Pink Beach earns its name from fragments of red coral blended into the white sand — a natural phenomenon found in only a handful of places worldwide. You'll anchor offshore and wade ashore to that extraordinary blush shoreline, then snorkel directly from the beach over a spectacular reef that shelters clownfish, napoleon wrasse, sea turtles, and dazzling soft corals. The water is warm, clear, and impossibly blue. After snorkelling, you have time to simply sit on the pink sand, cocktail in hand, and absorb one of Indonesia's most surreal seascapes.
Good to know
Pink Beach is inside Komodo National Park — the park entrance fee (IDR 500,000 per person) applies and is paid in cash. Arrive before 10am to enjoy near-solitude. The beach has no shade trees; bring a hat and reef-safe sunscreen. Confirm your boat includes quality snorkel equipment and a safety briefing.
