Step inside the golden age of the pharaohs on a fully private, Egyptologist-led day from Safaga into Luxor — the world's greatest open-air museum. Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, Hatshepsut's Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon await.
What to expect
Your Egyptologist meets you dockside in Safaga and escorts you on the 3.5-hour desert drive to the West Bank of Luxor. You descend into royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings before the midday crowds arrive, then cross to the East Bank for the colossal hypostyle hall at Karnak — 134 towering columns that defy comprehension. Lunch is taken at a hand-picked Nile-view restaurant, and your guide tailors every stop to your interests. Expect to return to port with 90 minutes to spare before all-aboard.
Good to know
Pre-book the Valley of the Kings 'extra tomb' tickets (KV62 – Tutankhamun, KV17 – Seti I) directly through the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities site; they sell out fast and cost extra on the day. Allow 10–11 hours door-to-door. Book at least 2 weeks ahead in peak season (Oct–Apr).
