Safaga's own backyard hides world-class dive sites — dramatic sheer walls, pristine hard corals, and pelagic encounters — accessible directly from port without a single hour of driving. A full certified-diver day on one of the Red Sea's most underrated reef systems.
What to expect
Board a purpose-built dive dhow from Safaga harbour and motor 20 minutes to the celebrated Abu Kafan reef — a vertical wall dropping past 40 m, draped in sea fans and anthias clouds. Your second dive moves to Panorama Reef, renowned for its circular coral garden and regular Napoleon wrasse sightings. Surface intervals are spent on deck with fresh fruit and Egyptian coffee. Briefings are thorough, gear is well-maintained, and the dive master personalises the dive plan to your experience level.
Good to know
Bring your dive certification card and logbook; nitrox is available for an surcharge. Safaga port is only 10 minutes from the dive centre, leaving ample time before all-aboard. Non-divers can join as snorkellers on the same boat for around USD 35–45 pp. Book directly via email or WhatsApp at least 48 hours ahead.
