Combine North Seymour's legendary wildlife trail with a drift snorkel at Las Bachas — one of Santa Cruz's finest white-sand beaches — aboard a first-class private yacht. Encounter Pacific green sea turtles nesting at Las Bachas and rays gliding through turquoise shallows.
What to expect
After the North Seymour loop trail with its extraordinary bird and iguana colonies, the yacht repositions to Las Bachas Beach — a RAMSAR-listed flamingo lagoon and sea turtle nesting site. Snorkelers drift over coral gardens teeming with king angelfish, white-tipped reef sharks resting on the sand, and hawksbill turtles. The beach is one of the few places in the Galápagos where you may witness turtle nesting activity. A locally sourced Ecuadorian lunch is served on the sun deck between the two sites.
Good to know
Las Bachas beach access is tide-dependent; the operator adjusts timing accordingly. Bring reef-safe sunscreen (required in the Galápagos National Park), a dry bag for valuables, and a wetsuit top for extended snorkel comfort. Confirm departure point in Puerto Ayora the evening before.
