A private full-day voyage combining Las Bachas' legendary turtle nesting beach with the wildlife theatre of North Seymour — frigatebirds, blue-footed boobies, and marine iguanas all in one extraordinary day.
What to expect
Board a private yacht from Puerto Ayora and cross to North Seymour, where a certified naturalist guide leads you through dense colonies of magnificent frigatebirds and blue-footed boobies nesting within arm's reach of the trail. After lunch aboard, you panga ashore at Las Bachas for the iconic white coral-sand beach — seasonal green sea turtle nests marked by park rangers, Sally Lightfoot crabs blazing across black lava, and a brackish lagoon frequented by pink flamingos. The return crossing lets you decompress on deck as the sun descends over the Santa Cruz highlands.
Good to know
Book well in advance — private charters fill fast. Confirm all-aboard time with your ship and allow at least 30 minutes' transfer buffer from the beach back to the tender dock. NPS entrance fee (~USD 20) may be additional. Minimum sun protection, reef-safe sunscreen, and sturdy water shoes recommended.
