Walk among wild Australian sea lions on a ranger-guided beach experience at Seal Bay — one of the world's only places you can do this. A bucket-list wildlife encounter on a pristine, untouched southern coastline.
What to expect
A Parks SA ranger leads your small group down to the beach where around 800 endangered Australian sea lions haul out daily to rest between ocean feeding trips. You move quietly among pups playing, bulls sparring, and mothers nursing — all within metres. The dunes behind the beach are equally photogenic, framing the sea lions against a wild Southern Ocean backdrop. Rangers provide rich natural-history commentary, making this as educational as it is extraordinary.
