Is the Brussels Beer Museum Worth It?

Expect a modern, interactive museum spread over several floors inside the old Stock Exchange building. You'll walk through the history of Belgian brewing with decent exhibits, video screens, and big shiny copper kettles. The highlight is usually the tasting session at the end (you get one or two beers) and, if you pick the rooftop option, solid views over the city. It's informative but not life-changing – think 60-90 minutes of pleasant learning rather than a deep dive. The crowd is mostly tourists, and it can feel a bit corporate.

Best time is spring or early fall when Brussels weather is decent and crowds are manageable. Avoid weekends in summer if you dislike queues. Expect to pay around €15-25 for a standard ticket; the rooftop + beer package pushes it to €25-35 depending on what you choose. It's not cheap for what it is, but the views help justify the higher tier.

Honest tips: Go for the version that includes the rooftop – the panorama is genuinely the best part. Skip the overpriced gift shop unless you need another beer glass. Pair it with a proper bar crawl afterward; the museum beer is fine but nothing beats drinking the real stuff in a brown café down the street.
