Is the Liberia Canopy Zipline Worth It?

The canopy zipline tours outside Liberia send you flying through dry tropical forest on 7–9 cables with lengths from about 300 to 1,500 feet. Expect around 2–2.5 hours total, including safety briefing, hiking between platforms, and a couple of optional extras like a short rappel or hanging bridge. The experience is more open and sunny than the cloud-forest tours farther north; you’ll see monkeys, birds, and occasional sloths, but the vegetation is drier and the views are of canyon walls and rolling hills rather than dense misty jungle. It’s genuinely fun if you like heights, but it’s not life-changing if you’ve done several ziplines before.

Best time is December through March when the forest is driest and the weather is most reliable. June–November is greener but you’re more likely to get rained out or deal with slippery platforms. Expect to pay around $65–$95 per person including transport from Liberia; add-ons like photos or the full aerial adventure package push it toward the higher end. Book directly with the park if possible—hotel packages often inflate the price.

Tip: Choose the standard morning tour and skip the overpriced “premium” photo package; the guides usually take plenty of shots you can buy individually if you want them. Wear closed-toe shoes with good grip and bring a lightweight rain jacket even in dry season—morning dew and occasional showers still happen.
