Should You Do a Food Tour in Los Cabos?

A Los Cabos food tour is basically a guided walk through downtown Cabo San Lucas or San José del Cabo, stopping at 4-6 places for bites of tacos, ceviche, fresh tortillas, street corn, and maybe a mole or two. Expect a mix of tourist-friendly spots and a couple of places locals actually eat at. You'll walk a few miles total, drink a margarita or beer at most stops, and hear some stories about Baja ingredients and Mexican food culture. It's fun if you like grazing and learning a bit, but it's not fine dining—portions are small by design so you don't fill up.

Best time is November through April when it's cooler and drier. Summers are brutally hot and the tours feel less pleasant. Expect to pay around $80–$130 per person for a standard 3-hour tour; private or more upscale ones run higher. That usually includes most food and a couple of drinks.

Pick a tour that focuses on street tacos and seafood—those are the real strengths here. Skip anything that leans too heavily on tourist-trap restaurants or promises 'gourmet' experiences; the best stuff is usually the simplest. Wear comfortable shoes and go hungry.
