A glass bottom boat ride in Los Cabos is a short, low-effort way to see the famous arch, Lover’s Beach, sea caves, and whatever marine life happens to be around that day. Expect 45-75 minutes on the water. The boats are stable but basic—no luxury catamarans here. You’ll peer through the glass panels at small schools of fish, occasional rays, and the rocky seabed near shore. Don’t count on crystal-clear views every trip; water clarity varies and the “glass bottom” experience is more novelty than National Geographic. You will almost always see sea lions and brown pelicans around the arch.
Best time is November through May when seas are calmer and visibility is usually better. Summer and early fall can be hot, choppy, and subject to afternoon storms. Expect to pay around $25–$45 per adult for a standard tour; kids are cheaper. Private or smaller boats push toward the higher end.
Tip: choose a morning departure if you can—lighter winds and fewer crowds. Skip the upsold “snorkel upgrade” unless you already know the water is clear that day; most people get just as much from the boat itself. Bring sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen; the sun reflects hard off the water even on cloudy days.
